Sometimes the tools within the tracking panel of After Effects just won't be able to get you the tracking information you need. That's where Mocha comes into play. In this video, I go into learning the fundamentals of Mocha. It's a program that now comes with Adobe After Effects and is meant for tracking as well as advanced masking. The reason why Mocha is so powerful is because it's a planar tracker and a planar tracker uses textures and layers in your image in order to get a solid track as opposed to points or groups of pixels. If this doesn't make sense to you, that's fine because in this detailed tutorial I will show you the ropes around the program and hope to see you all giving this a go!
